New NSUMC Website is Live

NSUMC mobile website goes liveIt has taken a while, but after months of preparation by the Communications Team and a final push toward the launch date, NSUMC is pleased to announce its new and enhanced online presence. Whereas the design has kept elements of the previous website, the technology is entirely new and up-to-date; it supports a blog, displays well on mobile devices, and will soon allow subscriptions to new posts.

The website will also be the new, online-only place to find all NSUMC news and events. We will no longer publish the print newsletter Gabriel’s Blast. Instead, all information will appear immediately on the website as individual articles are published, one at a time.

Over the next several weeks, the Communications Team will continue and back-fill select articles from past editions of “Gabriel’s Blast”, and the Team will explore how readers can subscribe to receiving email copies of new articles that are posted on the website.

Because of the expanded role the website will be playing in the future, the Communications Team is looking for several more people who are willing to “take the plunge” into this new online world, where so much of today’s communication and outreach takes place. This is a great opportunity to learn, be trained, and become part of a new form of ministry. If you are interested, please email webadmin@northshoreumc.org.

Once the new website is running smoothly, the team will examine how best to include NSUMC’s photo gallery as well as archival material, such as Pastor Ando’s past sermons and the news stories accompanying the relief effort following the 2011 earthquake in Haiti.

Please send corrections or feedback to webadmin@northshoreumc.org.
