Love was the theme on Sunday, June 14 as Pastor Ando presided at the last worship service of his ministry at NSUMC.

Love:

— in the sanctuary filled with worshipers.

— in the children’s message: “Always remember that God loves you no matter what. Wherever you go, whatever you do, or whatever happens to you, God is always with you He loves you.”

— in the sermon title: All You Need Is Love!

— in the sermon text he chose: “As the father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love” (John 15:9). Our faith journey is all about love, not about power, wealth, and accomplishments. Love is the foundation of everything because God is love. The closer our relationship with God, the closer will be our relationships with others and ourselves.

— in the congregation’s gift of a journal filled with personal notes of remembrance, reflection, and blessings.

— in our fellowship of celebration and farewell after the service.

— in our tears of joy and sorrow: joy for the blessing he has been to our congregation, sorrow because we will miss him.

We celebrate Pastor Ando’s 17-year ministry with us, and wish him well as he boldly follows a new calling from God.
